I’m back…

June 30th, 2008

So this post is for Audra, who was kind enough to tell me (a couple weeks ago) that she missed me around the Watercooler. I also had to get this posted today so I wouldn’t miss the whole month of June. Argh.

For those of you that wondered if I died, I didn’t. I’ve been busier than usual (which is saying something), and I’ve also been doing more fun activities than normal (which I often pass up because of previously mentioned busy-ness). :o)

Here’s a small selection of what I’ve been up to lately.

Flying in a new friend’s small airplane:
Flying in the Mooney

Another friend’s 50th birthday party:
Ford 50th

Racing somewhat high-speed go carts:

Shopping for and purchasing an electric guitar (not this one):

Riding the Seattle Ducks (amphibious city tour):

Getting very foreign currency as change at McDonalds:

Rollerblading with my favorite middle sister:

And… riding to the top of the Seattle Space Needle for dinner and pictures

I love having a camera phone (for the first time in quite a while), but I’ll bet you can tell the difference between the pics I got with that and the ones I got with my DSLR… :o)

What have you been doing lately? :o) Oh, and does anybody recognize what country that coin is from? I’m curious.

It looks sort of like a Polish zloty

or, rather, what you get back in change from a zloty (groszy I think?) which I still have some of at home from when I went to Poland.

    Welcome back, stranger!

I was squinting at the coin for awhile, but I got no idears.

Sweet pictures. It’s hard to believe you did that much without me having any idea..

Could you snag a pic of the “Worst Roommate of The Year” award? I’ll be sure to throw it up on my site for my everlasting shame. ;-)

(in fairness, I did know about 1/2 of the things you shared)

Thanks, Alicia! I’ll bet you’re right about the coin, and it’s nice to hear from you!

Scott, you don’t even come close to winning the “worst roommate of the year” award…. Not even close. You rock!

Nissa, I miss you sooo much too!!! That hand belongs to a coworker of mine. A few of us were out together hitting the town. Can’t wait to see you next week!!! :o)

Welcome back - I’ve got miscellaneous change from all over the world saved in ziploc baggies and now I don’t remember which country any of it is from. I just found out that all the currency I have from Romania (circa 2005) is worthless - they changed to new currency recently. I’ve been traveling a lot - 2 missions trips with e3 partners (Africa & Romania), heading to California for 4 days of relaxation this week - then back to Africa the last 10 days of August. Home til October then off to South America for 10 days. Then home til Thanksgiving wknd when we’ll hopefully be in Nashville or California. Then off to Dallas, NYC, and Africa in January. I’m going to buy an iphone today so that I can continue blog posts, albeit brief ones, while traveling.
