Rollerblading the Burke Gilman Trail!

So I got out rollerblading on the trail behind my place here in Seattle and took some pictures with my new little point and shoot.

(Yes, those are rhododendrons the size of trees. That’s the way they grow out here… That’s a full-sized building almost completely hidden behind them.)

On the way back from the trail, I bladed past this:

Come on; Seattle parking isn’t really that bad, is it?!? :o )

Rollerblading is one of the types of exercize I really enjoy. It’s outdoors, relatively fast moving, and the scenery changes a lot. I’ve also really enjoyed the hiking out here in Seattle. What are some of your favorite ways to exercise? (I find it’s a lot easier to get myself to spend the time on it if it’s something I really enjoy…)

  1. Sweet pics!

I love how often Rainier looks like a ghost of a mountain through the haze.
Have you been inside the 2nd hand store where the “heavenly parking” resides?

My favorite exercise, especially during the summer, is a nice long run with a swim somewhere in the middle. Very refreshing! (I've even been known to swim laps in Green Lake, despite the threat of blue algae neurotoxins!)

  2. Thanks!

Yeah, from a Seattle vantage point, Ranier kind of fades in and out. Pretty cool…

I actually haven't been inside the “Heavenly” store… do you know if it's any good?

How far does this trail extend??
    What part of Seattle?
Are there other roller blading trails in on or near this area?
